Re: “Furry Flood Victims Wait for Owners at Humane Society

First and foremost I am a animal lover and owner, from having fish, birds, cats and dogs at one time to the present. I feel for the people who lost their animals, but as quoted in the above article, none of the animals had any identifying information. Most of these pets probably were not even vaccinated which is a possible slow death for some. As for the puppy in the crate, perhaps this was the same person whose girlfriend left the animal in the crate Friday night and went elsewhere to spend the night, only to come back the next day to a flooded trailer. Animals are precious, but human life including those trying to save a human life are much more and those should not be damned for doing so!
