Re: “Letter From the Editor

Try and find a new population of educated and culturally diversified people who are willing to volunteer their children to be placed into a school system that will do far worse than write letters to the editor to make the new kid feel like a target with laugh, kick and berate me taped to their backs. School is socially difficult as it is without throwing a civilized and non-violent child of intelligent and educated parents into a boiling grease pit of a school system. The idea is more ridiculous than two kids fighting while trying to hold up their pants. I grew up in Memphis and am myself a product of public schools. I for one will not volunteer my child to be a new social experiment guinea pig in order to enlighten a culturally challenged population that would rather beat my child and take his shoes than welcome the cultural diversity.
