Re: “Memphis Activist Wants Murder Charges for Cops Who Shot Banks

Try to murder someone->get charged with attempted murder.

Seems legit. Justice is supposed to be blind, so it can't see a badge.

Re: “Break the Cycle of Forced Prison Labor

My "job stealing" comment was an attempt to put backspin on my "prison labor is slavery" argument so people who are inherently anti-criminal will be more inclined to accept my argument, not because I believe individual convicts are actively seeking out to perform difficult labor for pennies on the dollar.

Still a good counter on your part, though.

Re: “City Council Looks to Implement Transportation Utility Fee

The wheel tax and inspection fees were always a ploy to drive tax payers out of memphis into the suburbs.

You notice after they changed that policy and aimed back towards gentrification all of a sudden inspections were no longer required.

Re: “City Council Brings Back Beale Street Entrance Fee

Can we charge an entrance fee to Overton Square?

I'm fairly certain anyone who can afford a gun can afford the entrance fee to Beale, but if entrance fees are at all related to crime, then Overton Square should get it's fair share of "protection" too.

Unless of course this is all a plan to drive business away from Beale TOWARDS Overton Square....

Re: “Break the Cycle of Forced Prison Labor

Prison labor devalues free labor.

Maybe the reason it's so hard to get a job that pays a living wage is because labor consumers have the option to use indentured servants.

Why would we give the jobs of deserving law abiding americans to felons?

If you want to talk about crime, letting a felon steal an honest american's job sure sounds like one.
