Really. The Chicago Pizza Factory is more a curiosity than an eyesore. That aside, your list is of structures that have, in one way or another, fallen into disrepair, with the notable exception of the Third Street Post Office. In fairness, it is a bulk mail processing center, with a small post office within, more an industrial facility than public building. Unlike the others, it was a four star eyesore the day it was built. The Rhodes Jennings Building is now condos? Now there's a triumph over adversity. During my stint as president of Memphis Heritage, the security company called me, almost always in the middle of the night, when one of the alarms was set off in that building. I would go down to and often into the building in the dark to check it out. When I explained to the policemen answering the call that we were trying to keep vagrants from setting the building afire, one told me that it would be the best thing for it. Perhaps it was. There's your story.
