"it's gang leader"? ITS gang leader. maybe? I note this helpfully since mejjep agonizes over the decline of usage.

"Things are slated to stay the same in 2019 when Memphis will be the honored Memphis in May country." Really?,

Re: “Bredesen Says Senate Race is "Knife Edge" Affair, Takes Election Commission to Task

Two or three typos have been excised ("bed" for "bid," for example). Thanks for your sharp eyes. Anyone who can find a "grammar" error, however, gets a new car.

Hat tip to office-mate Davis for grit and perseverance. As a theater maven (and practitioner) he would clearly prefer that things were otherwise than what he felt compelled to report.

Re: “Crossing Party Lines

Gee, guys, political candidates enter races and others exit them all the time withort threatening the downfall of humanity or the end of our democracy. On that score, we have other, more pressing things to worry about, don't we?

Re: “Crossing Party Lines

K.T., for certain, you've ID'd a couple of major points relevant to Democrats in Tennessee. You are not the only person regretting newcomer Mackler's departure from the scene in deference to a (fairly conservative) Golden Oldie. In fairness, though, Mackler had roughly a year's worth of time to himself to generate some lightning and never quite did so. I'm not sure "corrupt" is the right word to characterize the terms of his withdrawal. As for the "turnout" issue, Shelby County's Democrats have in recent years consistently failed to triumph in local county elections by over-relying on their theoretical numbers to support party slates that were too often humdrum (at best). What they've been lacking is zeal (in the non-fanatical sense of that word). Which takes things back to the matter of finding candidates who can generate it.
