Auer and Stringfellow are deceased? "late Big Star members".

Re: “If Pastner Leaves, Should Penny Hardaway Coach the Tigers?

That's right -- go ahead and decide on Penny Hardaway so the U of M can avoid the public embarrassment of a prolonged nationwide coaching search where we see candidate after candidate turn down the job.

Penny may "pack the Forum" for a few games, but that's to be expected with the public's enthusiasm for a newly-hired coach, regardless of who it is. And while it is nifty that Penny used to play for Memphis, let's not let that be the motivating factor. Larry Porter played for Memphis, too. The University hired him ostensibly for that reason and it blew up in our faces.

We can either make a legitimate play for the best proven and experienced coach we can get, or we can make the easy crowd-friendly choice and cross our fingers that he MIGHT be at least somewhat okay at it.

Most importantly, let's throw Josh under the bus. It's not like he's coaching the cream of the national crop. He's got good players but no real marquee players. There's only so much a coach can do. Even Duke has dropped unusually high number of games this season. No one wants the U of M to win more than Josh does. But we can't be a championship-caliber team every year. I know Josh isn't the one playing defense or taking the jump shots. But let's lay everything at his feet as if he were. If you're not first you're last, right Ricky Bobby? Fire Pastner and he'll laugh all the way to the bank. He'll land on his feet and we'll probably get stuck with a rainmaker.

Re: “Jurassic World

Spielberg was already filming "Schindler's List" while "Jurassic Park" was in post-production. So no, Chris McCoy: Spielberg did not use the success of JP to make SL.
