Re: “Peabody Avenue to Lose Car Lane, Gain Bike Lane

If the parked cars provide a buffer between bikes and traffic that is great, but three issues need to be addressed: (1) How to keep the parked cars from encroaching on the bike lane, (2) how to be sure bikes are visible to drivers pulling in and out of drive ways, and (3) how to clear the lane of debris (the Overton Park Drive bike lanes, where there are parked cars between automotive traffic and the bike lane, are often unusable because of debris).

Re: “UPDATE: Bike Lanes, Turn Lanes Headed to Union Avenue

That's a pretty smart place for a 1/2 mile of bike lane. Cyclists can use Linden/MLK until they get to Pauline, cut north on Pauline, and then use the bike lane on Union to get to the Edge District to cut over to Downtown.

Re: “Biking on the Rise in Memphis

I'm so grateful for the work Kyle Wagenshutz has done so far and eager to see the new developments. I'm a daily commuter and use the bike lanes on Madison every morning and evening. Getting the new connector between Overton and the Greenline up and running will be great. Memphis just keeps getting better!
