Re: “Paleo Vegan Cookbook Review

can't stand that book currently because it was poorly cited, under-researched and really offensive to people who are coming from the Paleo side of the world, and are doing it for real legitimate reasons (like auto-immune disease). She basically says, "this is what Paleos believe, bless their heart!" *pats us on the head* "now let's compare them to the poorest examples of their kind... all the diet 'cheaters'... *proceeds to do so* now let's throw out EVERYTHING they believe, even the stuff they ALL agree on [NO grains or legumes- PERIOD] and fill this book with a bunch of recipes that are totally useless to them, and are basically just vegan recipes. Because Paleos really stupid. The end." There. there's a better review.

If she actually CARED about joining Paleo and Vegan, she could have praised the AMAZING benefits Paleo is showing to both Auto-immune and infertility, encouraged vegans to cut out non-paleo grains, beans, legumes, and soy, and given Vegans all KINDS of yummy examples of Paleo cookies, cakes, muffins, breads, crackers, veggie pot-pies, whatever. So that they don't feel deprived of their grains. But she DIDN'T really care about giving any Vegans new benefits from another perspective, but condescending to Paleo people. I'm really super offended, and disappointed I bought this book from her, AND I'M NOW A VEGAN. (No thanks to her.) She could have made my journey easier, but instead she's disregarding and disparaging my lifestyle. UGH, it makes me so mad.... but anyway, for vegans wanting just another poorly crapped together cookbook, there you go - Paleo Vegan. For true Paleo Vegans, well.... we'll just have to keep scoping out the forums and groups to glean all the help we can from others such as ourselves!
