As usual, Cohen is focused on most everything his constituents aren't focused on. Rather than jobs and industry, infrastructure, educational reform (especially with local control) and safety he is focused on what he thinks will keep him elected.
Mistakes are made everyday by virtually everyone. Of course, it is no mistake of what this "reporter" highlighted to skew the article. Everybody is looking for somebody to shame ....
I have always enjoyed public broadcasts in Memphis. Seems all involved really enjoy what they do and bring a truly personal touch to it. I celebrate all willing to volunteer their time for others. Especially when they keep their personal political opinions out of it. No place for that.
Too much preaching and blaming (one sided blaming at that) in this article. As some have said above - we need solutions - solutions that will educate and motivate the majority to vote and act toward a greater good. Today we have groups labeled - left, right, conservative, liberal, socialist, antifa, trumpsters, etc. - but these designations do nothing but limit our potential by pigeon-holing people. Who in their right mind went to vote last election happily ready to vote for President? With those choices? I've been around a long time and have seen the steady decay of politics to where today no "group" can communicate with any other "group" anymore. ... And Weathers here adds nothing ... sigh ...
Interesting ... usually when an article mentions the "largish" room and "filled fairly completely" that means a back room of a large restaurant and about 30 people around a few tables ...
Don't really like the term Alt-right, especially in light of the lack of understanding of where the term started from and who it supposedly represents Like most words, people chose to "redirect" their meaning to be something advantageous to them ... Anyway, the best way to say "see ya" to a term is to stop using it ..... lol
Re: “Cohen's New Agenda: Marijuana, Trump, Cops, Voting”
People should seek office to serve their constituents not to get elected. I agree there is too much horror in the focus of popularity and not governing for the citizens.
