Re: “Letters to the Editor

Frank, I'm not sure if writing "a unarmed" person is a typo or just bad grammar, but keep posting to the site. Now that the "Weekly World News" is no longer in publication and we can't read about "Bat Boy," we need the kind of entertainment you provide! Keep up the good work!!!

Re: “The Rant

I am highly offended by this column by Dennis Phillippi. I am good friend of Tim Sampson's and he is the sweetest, nicest, smartest, most talented, most handsome man I have ever met. Just because you happen to be uninformed doesn't mean there's anything wrong with Tim keeping up with what's going on in the world. You should be ashamed of yourself and your wife should leave you. You should be caned or forced to have sexual relations with Mike Huckabee. No, never mind. You would probably enjoy that. Oh, never mind again. You probably don't even know who he is - or that he and his wife lived in a trailer on the grounds of the Arkansas governor's mansion while it was being renovated. In fact, you should be forced to have sexual relations with him IN THE TRAILER. Exactly where do you get off, Dennis Phillippi, calling someone as awesome, generous, delightful, and damn-near perfect as Tim Sampson a "lunatic?" And I can ASSURE you he has spent MUCH more time teaching his cats tricks than you have! I'v been to his house and he has three cats THAT HE RESCUED FROM NEAR DEATH and each of them meows in six languages. What does your cat do? Chase fake mice around your dirty house while you write vile things about Tim and drink yourself into a coma? Or do they chase you around the house trying to scratch you because you are so mean and hateful? You are just jealous of Tim because you want to be exactly like him but you can't because he is so much smarter than you are. From a sistah who loves Tim!

Re: “Guy Sebastian Is Apparently Still in Memphis

Hi All - Another great thing about Guy recording this album in Memphis is that he will be taking Memphis back home with him and telling all of Australia what a cool city we have here. He is getting a good taste of things, meeting people like Willie Mitchell, etc. When he tours, you can bet that Memphis will be as center-stage as he will be. By the way, to all of you in Australia, are you aware the the United States ambassador to your country is from Memphis? Yes, Ambassador Robert McCallum, there in Canberra, is a Memphis native and just threw a big Memphis-music themed party at his headquarters on July 4, our U.S. national holiday. Maybe when Guy gets back home, the two of them can meet if they haven't yet. Good things to come!

Re: “Guy Sebastian Is Apparently Still in Memphis

Hey - Give the Guy a little break here. He's a nice dude and he really does have a love for Memphis music. His manager Titus is awesome. I was at Ardent today listening to and watching him cut some tracks and he is working hard. His vocals are good and his Memphis-based backup singers are awesome. He has no plans to "remix" everything in L.A. or New York or Atlanta. He wants it all done at Ardent ... in Memphis ...with John Fry and crew. How many singers out there today have that much sense? Not many. He gets it. He's not using a machine to make his music. He's in the company of Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn and he is pinching himself to make sure it's all really happening. He's not trying to be Al Green or Otis Redding. He's just trying to show how much he respects them. He's actually a good egg and wants to get involved with the Stax Music Academy students. How much fault can you find in that?
