Re: “Grizzlies Still Have Big Questions to Answer in Free Agency

If we don't bring back Zach and tony, we will be a lottery team. You can't win with young second round picks and undrafted players in the NBA. This team will have no leadership and no identity. Hopefully they bring back Zach and Tony and allow them to retire here like Tim Duncan and Ginobli. You honor your vets who are still productive and can teach the young guys.

Re: “

Any idea why the best shooter on the team does not play at all in this game?

The last two games Daye has gotten less than 10 minutes and a DNP. Why in the world would that happen? This guy is a unique talent at 6'11 and shooting 50 percent from 3. since adding Daye's scoring, the team shooting has improved and we have scored over 100 points pretty easily.

He is on a small contract, can handle the ball and seemed to be fitting in quite well.

I am very excited by Daye going forward. Is Hollins not?

Re: “First Take: Questions and Answers on the Rudy Gay Deal

Solid move by the Grizz. Prince will be a better fit in this system, the ball will now move more quickly without getting stuck. Prince and Daye are great corner 3 point shooters which will make our offense run similar to the Spurs which is a good thing. We really don't lose anything and gain shooting, championship experience, and potential with Davis and Daye.

Prince also brings clutch play, experience, better shooting, and overall higher bball IQ. Plus he can defend. Tony Allen and Prince make a solid defense perhaps even better. The chemistry on this team will be at an all time high as these guys meld over the next few weeks.

Don't underestimate Daye as A 3 point specialist -- think Ryan Anderson.

Ed Davis could wind up being very good for the future being molded under Gasol/Randolf.

Not getting a first round pick is the only place I see fault in this. Definitely should have gotten a first rounder.

But all in all, this is a nice trade that makes the Grizz from a first or second round exit in the playoffs to a legit contender. Prince is actually a better player for this team than Gay even though Gay jumps higher, makes tougher shots and what not.

I am pleased and very excited.

Re: “Game 36 Preview: Grizzlies vs. Clippers — With Bonus Rudy Gay Trade Speculation

Are you sure?

I think Pierce's deal is only guaranteed 4-5 million next year.

Paul Pierce, Boston Celtics

CBS Sports reported Pierce is on the block, not only for his scoring but his contract. Pierce’s $15.3 million salary for next season is not entirely guaranteed, which could make him an excellent rental for a team looking to make a run.

I think Rudy's deal is like 18 million so there is potential there, no?

This trade Would be perfect for Grizz...…

Re: “The Rudy Gay Trade Opus

Paul Pierce for Rudy makes sense. Celtics need to get younger - Grizz need a piece to get them to push them over the edge. Pierce better suited to play at the Griz pace and knock down open shots in the flow of the offense. Rudy better suited to run and gun next to Rondo.

I think the best thing to do is stand pat unless you get a really great deal. I 'd move a lesser role player to get under the cap - D Auther - hate to see him go but if we could bring back a cheaper shooter that could do the trick and keep the core in tact.
