Re: “Fisherville Civic Club

Dr. Jane Hooker will be inducted into the Education Hall of Fame at the U of M before that event. So when you come to her book signing, you will have it signed by a Hall of Fame inductee. That is AWESOME !!! (proceeds of the book signing benefit Cordova Museum.)

Local Artists from Fisherville/Eads will exhibit their art. (portions of the proceeds will benefit MDA MidSouth.)

This event is in EADS 38028 on Macon Rd near the intersection of Collierville-Arlington. Just co me off Houston Levee at Macon. Go East on Macon till you get to the Collierville Arlington intersection. Contact phone for this event 901-649-8321.

Re: “Wharton Says Memphis Is No Detroit

It might have 50,000 less residents than Detroit put it has the same type of criminals running the town and exploiding its monies.

According to the Commercial Appeal, Memphis brought in 5.3 Billion revenue last year. Where did all that money go? Overinflated car leases, fancy trips to foreign countries, luncheons and dinners at the tax payers expense most of which have since moved under bridges and are on the street corners begging.

More and more residnets are leaving the town because of its horrible leadership who is thieving away the money the town brings in.

Truth is: Memphis can be the prime city of the US, but not with this leadership!

Re: “The GOP Presidential Primary Moves to Tennessee

Hello Political Beat!

Did you know that: We have a primary in this county, but all you can send us in your email update is Entertainment News? And you mange not to be reporting on it. WOW! What's up with that?

Proves what we have been suspecting all along: The people can get better news updates txting and tweeting to each other. Current so called: News channels are so bias as well as so far behind the news that by the time they check in on a subject, the news has become entertainment.

Go TMZ! You got my VOTE!

Re: “Chumney Leads a Lagging Herenton, Say Two New Polls

Chumney's leadership skills are truly questionable. She has managed to capture Channel 3's attention a lot and jumped in on story's that she never orignated but just tried to get credit for. There is very little of her follow through on her objections to the mayor. A more recent sample of her lack of leadership ability was the very scandal regarding MLGW. When the pressure came to have Lee resign and Chumney, as chair of the MLGW Committee, should have pushed for it, but as usual she showed weekness by saying that she did not want to be too harsh. As usual Chumney was not pushing for results. Could that be because she had been chair of that committee for a while and did not take time to inspect what she was commissioned to oversee? Weakness !!! Which CEO of a large corporation when taking on their new role as CEO does not demand reports about the current status of affairs? My point exactly, as Chair of the MLGW Committee, Chumney should have been the first to sound the alarm and pushed an inquisition following an investigation if irregularities showed up. Weakness !!! Sorry, while she is good at hoagging the Channel 3 media time, she is pitttyful when it comes to leadership. It will take a strong leader to get the city out of the mess it is in. Not just someone who likes to take media credit (also called media h....) and then does not follow through. Chumney no good for Memphis.
