Re: “Island Style

Having read Dr. Connors previous books, I was quite impressed by his expansion from the exploration of historic West Indies decorative arts into an investigation of the history of colonial Caribbean architecture. In so doing, Dr. Connors proves himself to be a highly capable scholar in full command of his subject matter. His comprehensive and compelling text is wonderfully augmented by what can only be described as lavish photographic illustrations. Caribbean Houses is a must have book for anyone with even a cursory interest in the history of the Antilles.
